ABOUT ELVIE
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, Elvie has loved performing ever since he can remember. His love for theatre was sparked in the 7th grade when he saw his older brother in their school's production of "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying". Elvie remembers attending every performance and being in awe of the magic of the theatre. From that moment on, he was hooked.

Elvie went on to graduate as a Visual and Performing Arts Major with a Vocal Music emphasis from Classen School of Advanced Studies, Oklahoma's premier high school for performing arts and advanced academic studies. He continued his training at the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music Education, and a Master's Degree in Adult & Higher Education. During his time at OU Elvie was involved with a number of campus organizations and was also named the 2012 Homecoming King - he was the first African-American at the university to receive such an honor.

After graduating with his Master's Degree in 2016, Elvie committed himself to furthering his professional performing career. Since then, he has been seen in professional productions both regionally and internationally. In May of 2019, Elvie was invited to be a featured soloist in "The Best of...Rock Musicals"directed by Hugh Wooldridge, starring Adam Pascal, Kerry Ellis, and Judy Kuhn in London, UK. Regionally, Elvie has performed at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Monumental Theatre in DC, and Ivoryton Playhouse in Connecticut. Elvie has also performed in the 2nd National Tour of Waitress as a Swing, and recently finished playing the role of Judas in The North American Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Currently, Elvie is a Principal Standby in the Hamilton Angelica Tour, covering Aaron Burr, King George III, Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Hercules Mulligan/James Madison.

Outside of the theatre, Elvie loves leading worship, doing mission work in Haiti, dabbling in graphic design, and coordinating summer camps for various specialties.
